The Berkeley Family are the owners and developers of Kootenay Lake Village. In 2004 three BC corporations known collectively as the KLV Group were formed to acquire, plan and implement the Kootenay lake Village project. Oliver Berkeley is the Managing Director and CEO of the KLV Group that includes a civil works construction business, a civil service utility provider and a real estate development company.
Oliver Berkeley has more than twenty years real estate development experience in a variety of international markets. A graduate of the University of London, he trained in finance and corporate services in the City of London and enjoyed a diverse career in Senior Project Management. He has worked in variety of real estate market sectors, particularly in highly regulated and dynamic jurisdictions, and provides the companies with a comprehensive corporate management back ground.
The Kootenay Lake Village project has attracted significant national and international acclaim and is considered one of the most evolved sustainable community projects in BC. Jim Sutherland former Editor and Chief of Western living Magazine called it the ‘coolest land development ever’. It is to the credit of this vision that it has outsold all other bare land developments in the region and has established an industry benchmark in quality and value.
